NITE Team 4 is another game created by a Canadian studio called Alice & Smith, which is also known for projects such as The Black Watchmen or Ahnayro: The Dream World. Their newest title is available on PC Windows and depicts modern cybernetic conflicts.

Mechanics

We play as a new recruit of Network Intelligence & Technical Evaluation's (NITE) secret branch that deals with cybernetic war and support of land military units. The gameplay is about operating STINGER system that allows us to hack into opponent's network, coordinate special attacks etc. We can do this by selecting various modules and typing special commands.

The gameplay in NITE Team 4 is divided into three phases. The first one is a recon during which we gather useful information about the place that will be attacked by our special units. Thanks to discovering gaps and weak points in their security we can get access to various security systems which happens in the second phase dedicated to exploration. In the third, final, phase we coordinate land units and use everything that we managed to get in order to make their task easier, e.g. we open doors, turn off alarms, cameras or fingerprint scans.

In addition to that we also need to make sure that, based on previously gathered information, our soldiers are equipped with adequate weapons and gadgets that will allow them to deal with every obstacle and danger during a mission.

Misc.

There is an interesting fact about NITE Team 4. The spy terminology used in the game was based on revealed NSA documents. Also, the STINGER system was based on real software, Kali Linux / Metasploit.

It seems that hackmud may have some competition early next year, as Alice & Smith, the developer of ARGMMO The Black Watchmen, is back with a new The Secret World-inspired military hacking MMO called NITE Team 4. NITE Team 4 'explores the world of cyberwarfare and features realistic mission scenarios' using 'real espionage tradecraft terminology taken straight from leaked NSA documents.' Street racing 3d redeem codes code.

Missions in NITE Team 4 will be conducted via 'a virtual hacking platform based off real cybersecurity systems' like Kali Linux and Metasploit. Each mission is broken into three phases: Recon, Exploitation, and Raid. During the Recon phase, players gather intelligence and find weaknesses 'using actual espionage tradecraft.' During the Exploitation phase, players will hack into their target and 'gain a secure foothold.' Missions are wrapped up in the Raid phase, during which players coordinate with 'military teams on the ground' to take down facilities or even entire organizations.

The concept is rather neat and Alice & Smith is boasting quite a bit of authenticity. Like The Black Watchmen before it, NITE Team 4 is currently on Kickstarter. As of this writing, the company has raised $19,992 of its $22,711 goal with 22 days left. Stretch goals include 'PVP modules, player malware crafting, mission editors and more.'

Should NITE Team 4 be successfully funded, it will be launched in 'early 2017.' A hacking mission based on it and uniforms from it will be made available in The Secret World. Additionally, 'a special cross-universe ARG quest' will be made available to players of both games.
