EditHuntress

To unlock Huntress, all you need to do is complete the Warrior challenge. This requires you to 'reach and complete the 3rd Teleporter event without dying.'

If you're having trouble getting to the third Teleporter, consider playing Multiplayer.

EditMUL-T

To unlock the MUL-T robot for use in future Risk of Rain 2 runs, you must complete the Verified achievement. To do this, all you must do is complete the first teleporter event (activate the Teleporter and defeat the boss) 5 separate times. Once completed you will have access to MUL-T

EditEngineer

Unlocking the Engineer is not difficult, but you will have to grind. To unlock the Engineer you must complete the Engineering Perfection achievement which is simply complete 30 areas total. Once completed, the engineer will be added to your crew.

EditArtificer

As you make your runs through Risk of Rain 2, you will notice a special currency called 'Lunar Coins' will occasionally drop from enemies.

These are the only currency in the game that will carry over between runs, so don't feel the need to spend them right away!

To unlock the Artificer, you will need a total of 11 Lunar coins, one to give to a Newt Altar and 10 to actually unlock this survivor. Newt Altars (pictured below) will be scattered randomly throughout an area, and when interacted with, will spawn a blue orb by the teleporter.

Defeat the boss like you would any other area, but do not interact with the teleporter again after. A blue Lunar Portal should spawn, take that instead to be transported to the 'Bazaar Between Realms' where you can spend 10 Lunar Coins to unlock the Artificer.

EditMercenary

To unlock the close quarters mercenary, you must essentially beat each of the games environments in a single run. Once you have completed all the areas in a run, you will notice it will circle you back to the first area you started in.

This time white Celestial Portals will spawn, inside you will find a downward platforming 'challenge' you will need to complete to reach the bottom. At the bottom will be a large obelisk which you can interact with, obliterating the current survivor you are using, ending your run. Sacrificing yourself at the Obelisk will reward you with the True Respite Challenge and add The Mercenary to your roster.

After you unlock the Mercenary, you may still sacrifice yourself at the Obelisk, however since you already have the character unlocked, you will instead be rewarded 5 Lunar coins.
